Green light for Wooler Christmas Market and town's festive shopping event this weekend

The market will be held in the bus station on Sunday, December 6 from 10.30am to 2pm with 26 stalls offering a fantastic array of local food, drink and crafts.

The town’s shops will be open from 10am to 5pm, giving locals and visitors an opportunity to catch up on present shopping while enjoying the Christmas lights and atmosphere.

“It’s been such a miserable few weeks that we’re delighted to be able to hold the market and help people get into the Christmas spirit,” says organiser Anne Love.

“We will of course be asking people to observe the usual Covid-19 safety precautions such as hand sanitising and social distancing and stick to a one-way circuit around the market.”

Shops will also be observing safe distancing rules and require masks to be worn.
