Hide AdJim Thompson, chairman of Abbeyfield North Northumberland Extra Care Society’s executive committee, was delighted to see the bikers outside the home.
He said: “Sadly, due to COVID regulations we couldn’t ask the lads in for a cup of tea to warm them up as it was a bitter December morning but everyone was delighted with their presents and we are all very grateful for them thinking of us.”
Abbeyfield House, which was opened by Princess Anne in 1985, is a not-for-profit organisation which is open to all and has a mixture of social care and privately funded residents.
