Additional premises were purchased in 1978 in Main Street Tweedmouth, opposite the petrol station, to incorporate a new purpose-built workshop and bodyshop.

In 1982 an agreement was made with The Colt Car Company for Tweedmouth Service Station to become a Mitsubishi franchise dealer. After three years of the brand becoming popular in the town, a new showroom was built on the Main Street premises. As the business continued to grow, larger premises were required.

The move was then made in 1991 to the current location on Tweedside Trading Estate. This spacious facility on the Tweedside Trading Estate gives enough room to provide all the services necessary for all motoring needs including new and used car sales, service department, bodyshop, and parts department.

With now over 36 years with the Mitsubishi franchise, Tweedmouth Service Station has achieved many accolades for a small local family-run business, culminating in being named Mitsubishi’s No 1 UK dealer.

This comes from long serving, dedicated, hard work staff, and local customers over the years.
