Forthcoming county events include intermediate crochet, Easter crafts, introduction to bobbin lace making and leaf manipulation. We had also received an invitation to North Sunderland/Seahouses WI’s 94th birthday.

Our monthly quiz night is on January 29, at 7.30pm in the Castle Inn. The lunch club will be at The Victoria Hotel.

Several resolutions were put forward. The majority of members voted for Raising Awareness Of Modern Slavery In The UK. If other WIs vote the same, this will be debated at the national meeting later in the year.

Our speaker was Traci Robertson, who teaches pilates, zumba and other keep-fit classes. She soon had us doing exercises, not too strenuous, and everyone appeared to enjoy themselves. Traci is willing to do future classes (open to the public) so we may eventually be a lot fitter.

The next meeting is on February 14, at 2pm, in Bamburgh Pavilion. Visitors and new members welcome.
