It’s certainly a bracing way to start a new decade, and our snapper Jane Coltman was there to capture the fun on camera as people braved the chilly waters in fancy dress outfits.
The event, now in its seventh year, has become a staple of the Northumberland community’s holiday calendar.
It started with just six people, and this year’s plunge is believed to be the most well attended yet. Were you or anyone you know amongst those taking part?
