Northumberland residents asked to share their lockdown healthcare experiences

This feedback will be used by Northumberland NHS and social care services to help identify issues and make sure everyone continues to receive safe and high-quality care.

Healthwatch Northumberland project coordinator, Derry Nugent says “Whether you are struggling to find the right health and care information or if you’ve recently used a health service and want to share your experience, we’re here to listen.

“We heard from one resident whose GP rang her just to see how she was coping during the pandemic.

“Another had a routine annual appointment with his consultant via video, where a future appointment was made, saving him the time and cost of travelling into Newcastle.”

Healthwatch Northumberland is also holding a series of online forums via Zoom covering topics such as mental health, dementia, maternity services and special educational needs and disabilities.For information visit healthwatchnorthumberland.co.uk
