The 460-bed hospital, sited near Washington's Nissan plant, will take coronavirus patients if units in the region cannot cope with demand.

A time-lapse video shows progress at the unit, which is destined after the crisis to become part of the new International Automotive Manufacturing Park (IAMP).

The hospital is expected to be operational towards the end of April, or in early May.
