These are the areas in Northumberland with the highest and lowest numbers of Covid-19 deaths

New statistics have revealed there were over 270 coronavirus-related deaths in Northumberland over a three-month period.

Data from the Office for National Statistic shows there were 273 Covid-19 deaths across the county between March 1 and June 30, 2020, and recorded by July 11.

In total, figures show 22 coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in Northumberland in June.

The most were in Cramlington Town & Beaconhill where 34 of the 81 deaths (42%) were put down to Covid-19.

The second highest was Blyth Town with 21 of 67 deaths (31%) were attributed to it, followed by Blyth Cowpen where 20 of 56 deaths (36%).

At the other end of the scale, there were no Covid-19 deaths in Haydon Bridge and Allendale or Ashington South.

There were three Covid-19 deaths in Alnwick.
