Data from Public Health England published by Northumberland County Council reveals there were 321 positive Covid-19 cases across Northumberland in the week up to September 30.

The county-wide infection rate is 100.2 per 100,000 population.

Police will be able to take action against those who break the rule.

This will include asking people to disperse and issuing fixed penalty notices starting at £200 for those who take part in illegal gatherings.
