Covid-19 levels remain stubbornly high in parts of Northumberland.

Latest data from Public Health England, published by Northumberland County Council, reveals the county-wide infection rate was 150.8 per 100,000 on December 7.

This compares to 155.8 on December 1 and 168.6 per 100,000 on November 29.

The average for the whole of England is 149.2.

There were 483 confirmed positive cases in the seven days up to December 7.

This compares to 499 confirmed positive cases in the seven days up to December 1.
