It is three years ago today (March 23) that Northumberland joined the rest of the UK in its first lockdown due to coronavirus.

Towns and villages were virtually deserted after tougher movement restrictions were introduced to try and limit the spread of coronavirus.
People were instructed to stay at home with no unnecessary journeys or social contact; to only leave home for essential shopping, medication and exercise once a day; and only to travel to work if absolutely necessary.
