Coronavirus fears prompt drama group to cancel play's three-show run next month

Coronavirus has put paid to Warkworth Drama Group’s planned production of the play Cruise Control.

The comedy had been scheduled to run for three nights at the Memorial Hall on Castle Street, beginning on Thursday, April 30.

Co-producers Dave Stockwin and Sue Bennett said: “Very reluctantly we have decided that due to a deteriorating and highly unpredictable national situation, it would be both impractical and imprudent for the play to go ahead at this time. We hope to reschedule it at a later date.”
