Berwick MP visits new Covid vaccination centre at Boots store

Local MP Anne-Marie Trevelyan visited the Marygate branch on Monday to see the vaccination centre.

She was met by Boots area manager Karen Ayton, store manager Karen Virtue and operations lead Danni Flannigan.

Ms Trevelyan: “I was delighted to be invited to visit this new vaccination site at Boots in Berwick, and was so impressed by the set-up.

"I know from my postbag how keen people are to have their vaccine locally if possible, so it is wonderful there are even more options for my constituents, in addition to our fantastic GP teams.”

The site is scheduled to administer 1,200 vaccines per week which is in addition to the vaccines being supplied to GP hubs.

The NHS is asking people to book into regional centres or pharmacies to enable GPs to focus on inviting those with more complex medical needs.
