The Playhouse will remain closed until March 31 so a number of planned events have been cancelled, including the Alnwick Stage Musical Society production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

All events and activities at Northumberland’s libraries have also been cancelled with immediate effect until further notice.

Haydon Bridge Library, which is a volunteer-run library is also closed.

Alnwick library has closed its doors until further notice.

These decisions are in line with Government advice on limiting the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In Hexham the library and information centre will remain open as normal, however the Queen's Hall Arts Centre, which is located in the same building, has closed until March 31.

All other libraries will remain open as normal at this time.

Vulnerable customers will be offered the opportunity to have regular telephone contact from library staff.
