Alnwick man given honour after he donates his 100th pint of blood

An Alnwick man has recently donated his 100th pint of blood.

Jimmy Hall was presented with a certificate and badge at Newcastle Racecourse earlier this month to mark the milestone.

Most people can give blood if they are fit and healthy and are aged between 17 and 66 (or 70 if you have given blood before).

Men can give blood every 12 weeks and women can give blood every 16 weeks.
