The event is being organised by The Duchess’s High School Trust, in association with Northumbria Pets.

Katherine Williams, chairwoman of the trustees, said: “After more than a year of not being able to hold events or fundraising activities, we are extremely excited to be launching Alnwick’s first ever virtual pet show and putting the fun back into fundraising.

"All the money raised will support our £21k for 2021 appeal which is providing resources and activities to help the Duchess’s Community High School recover from the impact of the covid pandemic.

“The virtual pet show has come together thanks to the support and generosity of 22 pet friendly businesses and organisations in our community. Together they are providing prizes and judges for the 13 different classes. We cannot wait to see the entries from all the gorgeous pets in our area: this is their time to shine.”

Anyone can enter and there is something for everyone, whether you have a pampered pooch, a cool cat or even a duck with a great hairdo!
