Hide AdThe championships will challenge riders on the demanding Dipton Mill Road out of Hexham, featuring a 1.2km climb with an average gradient of 9.8%, peaking at a formidable 13.4%. A very different challenge to last year's event, which pitched riders up The Struggle in the Lake District. With a much shorter route, will we see Andrew Feather dominating proceedings again?
Colleagues from Irwin Mitchell's Newcastle office are set to be present to witness the action.
The event will also raise funds for the North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team. This volunteer-run charity provides essential search and rescue services across the Northumbria Police area and will be on hand to offer first aid and medical support throughout the event.
Irwin Mitchell is proud to sponsor this event alongside Scott Sports, Band of Climbers, Wahoo Fitness, Lycetts, and Andy Smith Photography.
