Wooler holiday park operator announces £1.2million investment

Verdant Leisure is making a £1.2million investment at its portfolio of holiday parks.

The investment in accommodation is set to meet the rising demand from new customers at all nine of its leisure parks in the north of England and Scotland, including Riverside Leisure Park in Wooler.

It is envisaged the new selection of hire fleet will be available in time for the 2020 season.

In 2019, Verdant Leisure’s holiday sales have flourished with a 30% increase in advance direct bookings.

The investment follows Verdant Leisure winning a silver accolade at the 2019 British Travel Awards for Best UK Family Holiday Company.

County Durham based Kingfisher Leisure Park and Heather View Leisure Park also retained their five-star ratings with Visit England.

It has also welcomed Dumfries and Galloway based Queensberry Bay Leisure Park to its portfolio.

It also operates Pease Bay, Scoutscroft and Coldingham Bay in the Scottish Borders and Viewfield Manor in Ayrshire.
