It is seeking to emulate the successful strategy behind its acclaimed Rivergreen Centre in Durham which it sold in 2017 to Adderstone Group, following the letting to Atom for the challenger bank’s HQ.

The Rivergreen Centre Northumberland is at the heart of St Mary’s Park, a burgeoning community set on the former site of St Mary’s Hospital.

Working with longstanding collaborator, JDDK Architects, the building is designed and constructed to minimise environmental impact.

From triple-glazed windows, natural ventilation system, down to shower facilities for commuting cyclists and lunch-time runners, the development is rated “very good” by BREEAM.

The building benefits from state-of-the-art communications: with fast-fibre broadband throughout; Board Room with interactive smart screen; and conference space for 100 delegates, with super-size wall-projection screen.

Catering is provided by the adjacent, award-winning gastropub, St Mary’s Inn.

Setting out his ambition to lure forward-thinking businesses to take up residence in the region, managing director Peter Candler said, “Built in the heart of Northumberland’s spectacular living landscape, the Rivergreen Centre offers all the benefits of 21st century technologies within the tranquillity of a rural setting. It really is the best of both worlds.”

The Rivergreen Centre Northumberland has office space available as well as offering meeting and conference space for hire.
