Her visit also saw her host a round-table discussion at MSP’s headquarters with a number of prominent local business figures, as part of the Treasury’s spending review.

A number of entrepreneurs and stakeholders from across Northumberland shared their views on Government spending priorities for the county in 16 key areas including healthcare, education, environment, pensions and transport.

Peter, who founded MSP with Tony in 2002, said: “We were delighted to welcome Liz Truss to MSP in what was an inspiring visit for our whole team.

“It is fantastic to be able to showcase what we do to a senior Government figure, demonstrating how our technology is truly helping to revolutionise the traditional world of manufacturing, and we are humbled by her praise for our work.

“It gives us great satisfaction to show this standard of innovation in software technology being developed in Northumberland. This is a wonderful part of the world which we are only too keen to shout about.

“The round- table discussion with the Chief Secretary was thought-provoking and provided a forum to discuss all that is great about our region, but also what is needed for companies like ours to be able to continue to thrive and for families to prosper.”
