In pictures: Hungry customers head to McDonald's as fast food giant reopens more North East drive-thrus
Peckish punters were spotted queuing up at McDonald’s drive-thrus across the North East as more than 20 branches began welcoming customers following coronavirus lockdown measures.
McDonald’s announced on Wednesday, June 3 that more than 20 branches – including Peterlee, South Shields, Hartlepool and Berwick – would be open for drive-thru from today. And customers weren’t wasting any time. Our photographer headed out to check out the queues, and it’s safe to say families across the region have still got the appetite for one of those famous burgers with fries. Check out our pictures here.
