In addition to the Local Restrictions Support Grant for closed businesses, the government has also announced the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Open).

This will help to support certain businesses who were open from the start of local restrictions until November 5, the start of the national lockdown, but were severely impacted by local Tier 2 restrictions. It will be focused on businesses such as the hospitality, hotel, bed and breakfast and leisure sectors.

Businesses such as nightclubs which had to close in March will also be able to claim a support grant.

The council will be launching the application process for these grants as soon as possible.
