The venue aims to reopen on December 3 and be in a position to welcome visitors over the Christmas period.

A statement said: “For anyone that has booked Christmas experiences or entry tickets on dates which are currently affected by these restrictions; our team are working incredibly hard to ensure that no-one will miss out and we will be in touch with you shortly to provide more information.

“Despite this unfortunate news we are still committed to bringing you a magical, Covid secure Christmas celebration this December.

"We have extended our biggest ever Christmas Light Trail to run until December 31 and will be full of messages of hope, cheer and reunion. We would love to see you there to be a part of the experience.
