Lockdown has provided the opportunity for a revamp at The Ocean Club, attached to Seafield Caravan Park.
Owner Carolyn Britton said: “We had always wanted a bigger kitchen but we couldn’t do it when we were open so the Covid-19 situation has at least given us the opportunity to do it.

She added: "Having had years of catering experience at The Viking, we wanted to expand our catering facilities as we know there is such a high demand for good quality reasonably priced meals in and around the area.
"Having outgrown our old facilities we have been busy during lockdown installing a brand new state-of-the-art kitchen, allowing us to offer a huge range of delicious dishes.”
She is delighted to have assembled a fantastic team of chefs headed by Steve Hodge, who has lots of experience having worked at The Viking and Close House to name a few.

The new menu includes fish & chips, homemade burgers with pulled pork, Sunday lunches as well as our ever popular pizzas and daily specials.
"But don’t worry, we will still be serving our delicious cakes, traybakes and homemade scones for those who just want a little treat,” says Carolyn.
The Ocean Club Coffee Shop & Bistro will be opening for takeaways from Friday, March 26 on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays.

“We now got a covered marquee for when the weather isn’t great and added four picnic tables. We’re hoping the new menu will be popular with our holiday park guests and local residents.”
Although the health and fitness facilities at The Ocean Club are members only, the coffee shop and bistro is open to non-members.
