Northumberland Archives to reopen this month: How you can book a session

Northumberland Archives service will be reopening to the public from September 17.

Study centres at Berwick and Woodhorn will be open for pre-booked appointments only.

Anyone wanting to access archives must have a booking and the centres will be open Wednesday and Thursday.

There will be two research sessions: 10am-12:30pm and 1:30pm-4pm at Woodhorn and 10am-12:30pm and 2pm-4.30 pm at Berwick.

Researchers can book one session per week.

A number of measures have been introduced to ensure the safety of staff and researchers including, wearing face coverings; sanitising your hands and social distancing. There are also protective screens at the reception desk.

Any payments need to be made by card and researchers are also asked to bring their own stationery, such as a pencil and paper.
