Many traders will keep their doors open late on Wednesday, November 4 to enable local residents to shop local – and perhaps snap up a few Christmas presents – before the four week closure begins.
Lisa Aynsley, chairman of Alnwick Chamber of Trade, said: “There’s been a fantastic response so I hope people will take the opportunity to support some of our wonderful shops.”
It comes as we run out Support Local campaign, aimed at encouraging people to support local businesses to protect jobs and livelihoods.
