Indian restaurant delivers free meals to staff at Northumberland hospital
A popular Indian restaurant in Berwick has shown its appreciation for hospital staff by delivering a free meal to them during their shift.
Amran’s, on Hide Hill, reopened last month for takeaways and decided to do its bit to support staff at Berwick Infirmary.
Owner Amran Hussain said: “NHS staff throughout the country have been doing a fantastic job in their communities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“So as our restaurant is currently open for takeaway meals, I thought that offering staff in Berwick Infirmary a meal would be a nice way to show our appreciation.
