The business has shops in The Bridges in Sunderland, The Galleries in Washington, Eldon Square in Newcastle, the Metrocentre in Gateshead, Teesside Park in Stockton and the Cornmill Shopping Centre in Darlington.

However, it has said it would like gamers to use its online site to order items to be collected in-store wherever possible as it looks to limit the number of people allowed inside its shops at any one time.

it has said its Belong Arenas, where people can gather to play games, will "remain closed for the time being and will look to reopen when Government guidelines permit.”

It has said it plans to keep its stores in Scotland and Wales are ready to reopen once their Governments allows all their shops to trade again.

The company’s announcement comes as a number of shopping centres across the region confirm what measures will be in place to ensure people can stick to social distancing rules while in town and city centres.

A number of attractions have also started to reopen or have confirmed they are looking to welcome back people following the easing of the lockdown.
