The Origami Cafe on Narrowgate, just a few minutes walk from Alnwick Castle, has made the list of favourite joints for caffeine-craving Brits to get their coffee fix.
Based on the reviews from TripAdvisor, customers give the cafe a rating of 5/5, receiving 136 excellent ratings of its 147 overall reviews.
Judy Wong, owner of The Origami Cafe, said: “It’s great news – it’s a tiny little cafe with just four tables so to get that recognition is fantastic.
"I’d like to thank all my very supportive loyal customer base.
"It’s been a very hard year running a business on my own and not knowing what is going to happen with the restrictions so to hear something like this has really put a smile on my face.”
Elsewhere, the Rough Hand Made on Liverpool’s Albert Docks has received a 5/5 alongside Cardiff’s Big Moose Coffee Company that boasts one of the highest Excellent percentage rates receiving 287 of its 295 reviews.
The research conducted by coffee retailer Coffee Friend has looked at the highest rated coffee shops across the UK with more than 100 reviews based on Trip Advisor reviews - taking Excellent, Terrible and overall ratings into account.
