Book a ride with Alnwick taxi firm app

The AA Taxis app, available on the app store for both Apple and Android, has been designed to streamline the service offered to customers.

“We have changed to a new booking system to make us more reliable and efficient, meaning less waiting time for our customers, and the app is part of that process,” explains director Steve Miller.

“If you download the app, you can book direct from your phone without making a phone call at all.

“It’s designed to take all the hassle out of it, as you can book in advance and then change your booking at any time.”

AA Taxis provides local taxi services around Alnwick Amble, Rothbury, Seahouses, Shilbottle and other areas on request 24 hours a day.

The company has 20 years’ experience and offers everything from local trips to long-distance journeys with its fleet of vehicles, which include wheelchair accessible taxis and a minibus which seats up to 16 people.

Steve said that after a difficult year, AA Taxis is now busier than ever with the increasing ‘staycation’ trend bringing many British holidaymakers to the area.

And he hopes that the new app will make the process of booking a taxi a stress-free situation for everyone, whether they’re local or just visiting.

“There are times when the phones are so busy that people can’t get through and that must be really frustrating,” he adds. “Having the app on your phone means you can order a taxi at the touch of a button, whether that’s for now or next week, and have peace of mind that it’s all taken care of in just a few seconds.”
