Cheers! Queens reopens after a £½m facelift

The Queens Head has had a complete refurbishment of the ground floor, with alterations creating a more open space.

Publicans Nicola and Craig Fortune have taken over at the pub and 17 new jobs have been created.

Nicola said: “We are so pleased to finally be opening the doors, the pub and rooms all look fantastic. We have lots of plans for The Queens Head and are passionate about creating a place for everyone to enjoy all year round putting the pub back at the heart of the community.”

The Queens Head has nine letting bedrooms. Bed and breakfast is available to visitors all year round and Nicola and Craig are also planning to offer daily breakfasts to the public.

Entertainment will also be a key focus, with family fun days, live music and a weekly quiz.

The pub was officially opened by Coun Steven Bridgett over the Easter weekend.
