Northumberland episode of chef James Martin's new ITV series set to be broadcast this week

He visits Holy Island and Coquet Island, accompanied by Michelin-starred chef Kenny Atkinson, who owns the House of Tides restaurant in Newcastle.

They learn how Mead is made on Holy Island, James cooks up a Singapore-inspired crab and lobster dish on a stunning beach, then they both enjoy a puffin cruise at Coquet Island, near Amble.

There's a trip to a lobster hatchery too, before James cooks local speciality Singing Hinnies on another breath-taking beach.

Lindisfarne Mead, which is currently closed but still taking online orders, greeted the news on its Facebook page, revealing that they had been sworn to secrecy during filming.

James Martin's Islands to Highlands (Northumberland episode) will be shown on Wednesday, April 22 from 2pm to 3pm on ITV.
