Visitors to North Northumberland are in for an ‘egg-citing’ time over the Easter weekend with a whole host of activities happening across the region.

Events range from adventure trails to egg throwing competitions and will keep the whole family entertained.

Here is what’s on over the Easter holiday.

Tomorrow to Monday, April 25: Easter Egg Hunt. Join the hunt for Easter eggs at Lindisfarne Castle. Tomorrow, 10am-3pm, Saturday-Monday, noon-5pm. Normal admission applies. Contact 01289 389244.

Tomorrow until Monday, April 25: Easter Family Fun Trail. Crack the clues to complete this ‘egg-citing’ trail at Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens? Find the missing eggs around the grounds to be rewarded with a yummy Easter prize. 10am-6pm. Normal admission. Contact 01661 881636.

Tomorrow to Monday, April 25: Meandering Monks Family Fun Trail. Time for prayers but where are the Brothers? Help find the missing mini model monks around the ruins and claim your yummy Easter prize at Lindisfarne Priory. Normal admission. Contact 01289 389200.

Today to Monday, May 2: Easter Egg Hunt. Complete a fun-filled trail around the grounds of Kielder Castle and win an Easter egg. Drop in 10am-5pm. £1.50. Contact 01434 250209.

Today to Monday, May 2: Easter Holiday Activities. Try some activities inspired by Alnwick’s twin towns in France, Germany and Norway at the Bailiffgate Museum. Contact 01665 605847.

Sunday, April 24 and Monday, April 25: Cadbury Easter Egg Trail. Celebrate Easter with an egg-citing family trail at Cragside. Complete the trail to receive a chocolate reward. £3 per trail. Normal admission. 11am-3pm. Contact 01669 620333.

Sunday, April 24, and Monday, April 25: Easter Eggstravaganza. Enjoy Easter fun at Wallington with a Cadbury children’s trail, craft activities, face-painting, games and races. 11am-4pm. Sunday, April 24 and Monday, April 25: Easter Tales and Traditions. With Taffy Thomas at Alnwick Garden. After each storytelling session, children will be given a pace egg to decorate. Carry your egg to the top of Egg Hill and recreate the ancient art of egg-rolling. Try to get your egg to the bottom of the hill in one piece.
