YOUNG performers from Alnwick Playhouse’s Youth Theatre bring the magic of Disney to the stage in their latest production – Aristocats.

This fun-filled feline adventure, presented by the Junior group, is almost identical to the classic cartoon, with its songs and jazzy beat.

Aristocats, which was the 20th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series, tells the tale of Duchess and her Aristokittens who are cat-napped by a jealous butler and abandoned.

But luckily Thomas O’Mally and his rag-tag bunch of alley cats come to the rescue.

The Youth Theatre’s rendition is sure to leave audiences purring.

Peter Brown, musical director, said: “There will be around 45 of them in the show, aged from seven to nine. Our little ones are always enthusiastic whatever they do but they have really enjoyed this one and there are lots of little stars in there.

“A lot of the children know the story from the cartoon. I think it is just a great, fun story and a family-fun show. All the characters are the same and it has got some really good jazzy songs.”
