Northumberland Theatre Company will be performing its new show in Seahouses and Etal at the beginning of next month.
Rallying Round is a play by Stewart Howson and it has been described as laugh-out-loud funny, extremely moving and a wonderful mix of Auld Alliance humour and Bollywood, as two very different worlds collide and an unusual modern friendship forms.
The production tells the tale of old soldier Archie (played by Howson), who cons his young carer Mo (Umar Ahmed) into giving him a lift to Monte Carlo. It’s a journey that Archie used take in his classic rally car with his old oppo Dougie, although he now seems a little hazy about the route and even the destination.
The tour opens on Thursday, October 31, in Selkirk before it comes to Seahouses Community Centre on Friday, November 1, at 7.30pm.
