Students’ work goes on display in gallery

Artwork by pupils from Alnwick’s Duchess’s Community High School is going on display in a new exhibition at the town’s Gate Gallery.

The pieces on show have been created by Sixth Form students in both Years 12 and 13, with many of these going on to study art at degree and foundation level.

Richard Hay, from the school’s art department, said: “This year we are exceptionally proud of the work our students have made and they are a fantastic group of young adults.”

The exhibition starts tomorrow – when there will be an open invitation preview event between 5pm and 7pm, with refreshments provided and all are welcome. The display runs until Friday, July 20.
