THE popular Alnwick Spring Show takes place on Saturday and Sunday.

The event features a range of competition classes, which are free to enter, including sugarcraft and cookery, as well as children’s sections.

Show-goers will also be treated to a host of additional attractions, such as bee-keeping, embroidery and a tombola, as well as proggy mats (Saturday only).

Rosettes and special awards will be presented by the Duchess of Northumberland on Saturday at 3pm in the show area and all winners are requested to attend.

The show takes place at Alnwick’s Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre on Willowburn Avenue.

It will run from 11am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

Admission is £1, although exhibitors and accompanied children go free.

Entry for some classes is closed but others are open until Saturday (space permitting).
