Author Philip Walling will present a talk entitled The Sheep of Great Britain later this month.
Walling is a former sheep farmer, barrister and writer of one of 2014’s surprise hits, Counting Sheep, which is now out in paperback.
Encouraged by the sales of his first book, he is currently writing Water Falls, about the enduring place of water in our landscape and our lives.
The talk, which will highlight the importance of sheep to Great Britain, takes place at Alnwick’s Barter Books on Monday, March 30, from 7.30pm.
It will be followed by wine, nibbles and a booksigning.
Entry is £5 and tickets can be booked from the shop, either in person or by calling 01665 604888.
