WORLD-WIDE sales exceeding 118 million, 22 singles in the UK Top 10, 43 years of performing since their first hit in 1968, the opening act of Live Aid – it can only be Status Quo!

And on Saturday, the group, one of the most iconic of all British rock bands, will be live on stage in Alnwick.

Performing in the Pastures under the shadow of Alnwick Castle, the Quo – known for anthems including Rockin’ All Over The World, Down Down and Whatever You Want – are sure to entertain music lovers, young and old.

They will be supported by Seventies supergroup, 10cc, whose hits include I’m Not In Love, Donna, Rubber Bullets, Dreadlock Holiday, Things We Do For Love and many more.

But the music will kick off at 6.30pm when Big Figure, an exciting Scottish five-piece band, whose musical abilities are gathering many plaudits, will take to the stage.

The evening will be rounded off with a spectacular firework display at around 10.30pm.

Gates open at 5pm, 10cc are set to perform at 7.30pm and the Quo are expected to entertain the crowds from 8.50pm.

Tickets are adults £35, rising to £40 on the day, and children (5-15 years old) are £15, rising to £20 on the day.

Under 5s are admitted free and no ticket is required.

IML Concerts is offering a special group rate when purchasing 10 or more adult tickets at one time. Tickets will be reduced to £31.50.

This does not include child tickets which are already more than 50 per cent discounted.
