WATCH: Musical youth perform impromptu a capella hit from Disco Inferno

A north Northumberland theatre was taken over by youngsters yesterday, with the audience treated to impressive array of acting, singing and a documentary film.

Young Alnwick Playhouse hosted its spring takeover at the town venue, as manager Jo Potts handed over the reins for the day.

The event featured the launch of a new scheme for younger children during the daytime, followed by an evening double bill of a new theatre performance and a documentary film about the high school’s latest musical Disco Inferno.

During the interval and after the programme, the students treated the audience to an acoustic or a capella selection of hits from the musical.
