Any rock fans with some spare Money may want to spend it on The Great Gig in the Sky and become Comfortably Numb as a top tribute group play in Alnwick later this month.
Think Floyd, regarded as the UK’s number one Pink Floyd tribute and renowned for their stunning celebration of one of the world’s greatest musical icons, is set to perform at the Playhouse on Thursday, October 30, at 7.30pm.
Now in their 20th year, the incredibly talented musicians who make up Think Floyd, backed by a dedicated team of sound and lighting engineers, have managed to faithfully recreate all the atmosphere, visual magnitude and musical excellence of Pink Floyd live on stage in their heyday.
Those who have seen the show say that it’s no wonder they have long been regarded as the UK’s finest tribute to Dave Gilmour, Roger Waters and the rest of the band.
The new Think Floyd production for 2014 features the whole range of classic Pink Floyd from early Syd Barrett, through the legendary Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here to The Division Bell.
Complete with an impressive laser light show, this is a must-see for all Floyd fans.
More than 10,000 people saw the band’s spring tour of the UK, which received critical acclaim from press and fans alike.
Indeed, the last date of that tour was recorded on film and has been released on DVD.
Tickets, priced at £18.50 or £19.50 premier, are available from the Playhouse box office in person, on 01665 510785 or via www.alnwickplayhouse.co.uk
