A north Northumberland music group are coming together for their annual gathering concert and supper.

The Alnwick Pipers’ Annual Gather Concert and Supper Night will be taking place next weekend.

The annual event is a celebration of the music of the region.

The special Northumbrian tradition is one that has dated back to the 1950s when a whole day of music and competitions used to be held at various events in Alnwick, attracting hundred of people from near and far.

Organisers have said that the concert will be showcasing a unique array of Northumbrian music with Andrew Davison, leading Northumbrian piper, Ian Scott, accordian player and composer Jimmy Little and not to forget the humour of Bob Bolam.

Of course, no performance would be complete without the members of the Alnwick Pipers’ Society Concert Band.

The concert will be taking place at Newton-on-the-Moor Jubilee Hall on Saturday, November 14 at 7.30pm.

The cost is £6 which includes the supper.

Tickets are only available on the door and a bar will be provided.
