IT won’t be a case of having to grin and bear it, as this magical, musical adventure is sure to have you singing and tapping away in your seat.
Fresh off the back of the success of Alnwick Playhouse Youth Theatre’s junior group’s performance of What a Knight!, the middle group transport the focus from Arthurian England to the deepest, darkest jungle and the boy raised by wolves.
The talented 10 to 13-year-olds will bring the jungle to dazzling life in this all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza as we follow Mowgli as he grows up and learns about life and friendship while on the way to the man village.
We meet Bagheera, the wise panther, who accompanies the young hero, king of the swingers Louie and the hypnotic snake Kaa.
And then, of course, there’s Baloo – the big, lovable, friendly bear – who helps Mowgli understand the bare necessities.
All of the youth theatre performances always go down a treat and with the middle group putting their stamp on this classic tale for young and old alike, it’s sure to be one not to miss.
And it’s a great way to support local youngsters as they take their first forays into the world of music and theatre.
