Rothbury Traditional Music Festival, Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17, various locations in Rothbury.
VOLUNTEERS are wanted to help out at Rothbury Traditional Music Festival.
Taking place from Friday July, 15 to Sunday, July 17, the event will see a weekend of traditional music, dance and more in the village, celebrating its rich musical history.
And helpers are needed to make sure the festival runs smoothly through the three days.
There are four venues for competitions, the festival stage and three events as well as a festival office to man.
This year’s line up will see an eclectic mix of talents, old and new with stalwarts such as Benny Graham and favourites like Rothbury Pipe Band.
The weekend kicks off with a dancing ceilidh on the Friday night in the Jubilee Hall followed by the main events on an outdoor stage near the Newcastle House Hotel on Saturday.
A big non-dancing ceilidh will be held on the Saturday night at the Mart followed by the final fling on Sunday morning and a few more sessions during the day before the event comes to a close.
Rothbury Traditional Music Festival is a highlight of the village’s summer calendar of events and visited by people far and wide.
Anyone interested in helping out should contact Carole Murray on 01669 621000.
