Europe’s most successful Elvis Presley tribute artist, Lee Memphis King, will get Alnwick Playhouse all shook up when he performs there next month.
His new show celebrates the entire career of the musical legend and is a fine tribute to The King.
The show, One Night of Elvis, begins with an authentic recreation of the 1950s rock ‘n’ roll era, progressing through the movie years to Elvis’s return to performing in his ‘68 comeback special.
The second half culminates in a rousing expo of Elvis’s years performing in Vegas.
Lee brings the majesty of the voice and the electrifying power of Elvis’s performance back to life, and is accompanied throughout by his world-class orchestra and backing singers.
The show also features large screen projection, making it the biggest Elvis show to tour UK theatres.
Over the last 10 years, Lee has picked up many accolades, including best professional Elvis tribute in the world at the 2005 Collingwood Festival – attended by the top Elvis tribute artists from around the globe.
He has headlined and sold out some of the most prestigious venues across the UK and Europe.
King will perform at the Playhouse on Sunday, June 2, from 7.30pm.
Tickets are £21 premier, £20 standard. Call 01665 510785 or visit the website, www.alnwickplayhouse.co.uk
