Budding pianists from across the North East are getting the opportunity to learn from the very best.
Murray McLachlan, of Chetham’s School of Music, is returning for a second time to the Northumberland Music Festival and will be hosting a piano masterclass.
Internationally-renowned pianist Murray will lead the workshop and participants will have the chance to perform with students from the world-famous music school based in Manchester.
Pianists aged 18 or under are being invited to spend Tuesday, November 13, at Guyzance Hall, near Morpeth, for the masterclass, from 11am to 3pm.
To qualify, pianists must be under 18, from the North East and have achieved at least Grade 7 Piano. Applications should ideally be supported with a statement from their piano or music teacher.
Any young musician who qualifies and would like to be considered should contact the festival organisers on 01668 283 100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form.
