Duo are a heady brew

It’s All About Tea, Alnwick Playhouse, Saturday, June 2, 7.30pm. Tickets £17.50, £16.50 conc, £18.50 premier.

NORMAN Lovett, of TV’s Red Dwarf, is joined by Chris Difford of Squeeze for their It’s All About Tea music and comedy tour this spring.

Norman Lovett is arguably best know for playing Holly throughout the show’s first and second series, before returning at the end of series seven and featuring throughout series 8.

His stand-up work has a quiet, almost deadpan feel to it, which occasionally spills into surrealism.

He considers himself to be a stand-up comedian that can act a bit and has yet to appear in a pantomime

Double Ivor Novello Award-winning Squeeze lyricist Chris Difford has brought us characters and sketches from everyday life, turning the mundane into the beautiful, the urbane into the exquisite, for over 30 years.

With his partner, collaborator, friend and Squeeze co-founder Glenn Tilbrook, Chris has written some of the most enduring and best-loved songs of our time such as Up The Junction, Cool For Cats and Labelled With Love, to name but a few.

Chris has 16 Squeeze albums, three critically acclaimed solo albums, countless top 20 hits, 32 American tours, 30 UK tours and a variety of global tours under his belt.

The show promises to be a must-see masterclass of song-writing and stand-up and will also be showcased at this year’s Edinburgh Festival.
