A popular showcase of Northumbrian DJing talent is returning this Saturday.

Booth Ave, set up by three North East DJs, is returning after a successful event a few months ago.

Joe Phillips, one of those organising it, said: “The aim of our night is to showcase local DJ talent and to try to offer something a little bit different to the people of Alnwick and, hopefully, across the North East, as we plan to expand our night to Newcastle.”

The event, at Alnwick’s Penny Black, will allow those going along to hear some of the newest sounds out and provide experience of performing in front of a crowd for young DJs.

The line-up includes Alnwick lad Joshua Milburn, who will kick off the night at 9pm.

Between 12.30pm and 2pm Alnwick’s own Dale Townsley will be closing the night. He recently secured a residency at the Octave of Cosmic Ballroom in Newcastle and has also played at Module, Warehau5 and Viva Ibiza, to name but a few.

As well as running his own night, Gigawatt, he has also warmed up for the likes of Chris Lattner, Rebeka and Patrick Topping.

The evening will also include a series of sets from Booth Ave resident DJs to keep the night filled with tunes.

Entry to the Fenkle Street pub is free before 11pm, and £3 afterwards.
