Boys who want to be loud

Boys are being encouraged to sing up for the new season of a lads-only choir.

Boys are Loud, for eight to 14-year-olds, is a very enthusiastic group of singers who meet each term for a series of rehearsals leading to a short performance.

New members are always welcome at the start of each new series – so now is a great time to take up singing, meet new friends from different schools and have a great deal of fun.

Last term the group performed at Alnwick Playhouse as part of Alnwick Sings – singing a short mixed set on their own, and joining the The King’s Men for two songs.

Boys need to commit to attend all the rehearsals and take part in the performance. The performance in late November will be confirmed shortly.

The sessions take place at the Duchess’s High School Bailiffgate site from 3.45pm to 5pm on Fridays, starting on October 5.

To join Boys are Loud, call 20,000 Voices on 01670 852445, or enrol at the first session.

Parents are asked to complete an enrolment form, and pay £20 for the term on enrolment.
