YOUR guide to the Christmas lights switch-ons in towns and villages throughout north Northumberland this week.

Tonight

Seahouses. Carols on Main Street from 6pm before the switch-on at 6.30pm.

Tomorrow

Alnwick. The festive entertainment in Alnwick Market Place starts at 6.15pm including music and decorating the Christmas tree, before the lights switch-on at 7pm. There will also be a visit by Father Christmas.

Warkworth will not host a Christmas lights switch-on ceremony this year but the lights will come on in time for the late night Christmas shopping evening tomorrow, which includes gifts galore with 16 stalls, featuring numerous crafts, at the Memorial Hall, Warkworth, 5.30pm–9pm. Refreshments and free entry.

Saturday, November 26

Alnmouth. Switch-on at 4.30pm outside the Hindmarsh Hall. There will also be a visit from Santa Claus and Christmas crafts for children.

Bamburgh. A Christmas service at St Aidan’s Church at 5.30pm, followed by the switch-on at The Grove at 6.30pm.
